I heard this phrase over and over again, and I could not agree less. My own little daughter, that I should feel so much love for, and I just felt NOTHING! Our lives were totally demolished during the coming weeks. I could barely go to work, and once there I often fell asleep, actually, work became kind of a sanctuary for me, but of course I didn't tell my wife that. We also made some visits at the local chiropractor who gave her back massage, we bumped her but, we sang for her, played the guitar, played music, danced with her.... sort of like everything you could ever imagine. And nothing helped except the swinging car seat.
